This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the tank containers for liquids or gases, hereinafter referred to as the 'tank containers', of test pressure 0.45kgf/cm*2 (44 MPa) and over to be used for common through transit (automobiles, railway rolling stocks and ships between each other) for the purpose of international distridution. The tank containers for damestic land carriage of dangerous goods are excluded for the application of this standard.
