This standard applies sensitive switches of typ E, which will be used in information technology equipment and similar technics. It complies dimensions, ratings and a test-program. Sensitive switches similar to this typ, with nearly the same dimensions but other ratings, are used, according to DIN VDE 0630 and DIN VDE 0660, in e.g. household-equipment. They are standardized in DIN 41635.
