DIN 50905-3:1987-01

In addition to the standard DIN 50905 part 1, this standard establishes special guidelines for testing the corrosion response of metallic materials with non-uniform and localized corrosion attack in the absence of mechanical stresses. Measuring data as well as procedures for their determination are described which characterize and quantitatively describe the corrosion response of metallic materials in aggressive environments under conditions of non-uniform and localized corrosion attack without mechanical stresses. The obervation of the guidelines given in this standard ensures a comparable quantitative evaluation and description of the results of corrosion tests when metallic materials are subjected to non-uniform and localized corrosion attack in the absence of mechanical stresses.
