DIN 3387-1:2008-11

This standard exclusively applies to requirements and examination of connecting pieces solvable with tool, which seal against smooth walls of metallic pipes or other metallic cylindrical elements metallically or non-metallically. The connecting piece knows also different kinds of connection, e. g. threads, exhibit flange etc. In addition it can have different designs, e. g. straight piece, angle or T-fitting etc. The connecting pieces must be suitable for pipes, which are operated with gases in accordance to the DVGW rules G 260 and are insde the operating pressure- and tubing outside diameter-range of the table 1 and are calculated for an operating temperature between - 20 °C and + 60 °C . This standard does not apply to connections within of gas appliances.
