This standard applies to socket outlet A of the electrical plug connection for use on vessels. Socket outlet A according to this standard results with plug B according to DIN 88877 1 in a double-pole plug connection for DC 10 A 24 V. The rated voltage is 50 V AC. Provided that it is used as intended, plugged and screwed or with screwed protection cap, IP 56 protection degree is achieved according to DIN EN 60529. The socket outlet A is dimensioned for use with electrical cables and wires with nominal cross-section up to 4 mm2.
