This European Technical Specification specifies a high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method for the determination of acesulfame-K, aspartame, neohesperidine dihydrochalcole and saccharin, in foodstuffs. Inter laboratory tests have been carried out with acesulfame-K in water based drink, fruit based drink, cheesecake with biscuit base, canned soup and instant chocolate drink, with aspartame in water based drink, fruit based drink, cheesecake with biscuit base, canned soup and instant chocolate drink, with saccharin in water-based drink, fruit based drink, cheesecake with biscuit base, canned soup, and with neohesperidine dihydrochalcone in water based drink, fruit based drink, and canned soup
