The standards of the VG 96922 series provide a description and the preservation of mission specific operational readiness in networked systems. It is based on the international standard for road vehicles ISO 27145 and other referenced standards. VG 96922 specifies the technical details and properties of the major systems and the inter-faces of those systems. VG 96922-4 defines the requirements of the multi-brand diagnostic runtime system. This document specifies the most important requirements related to collaborative usage by the end user in the context of flexible business models. The multi-brand diagnostic runtime system is compatible with the concept specified in: - ISO 22900 Road vehicles - Modular VCI; - ISO 22901 Road vehicles - ODX, Open Diagnostic data eXchange; - ISO 13209 Road vehicles - OTX, Open Test sequence eXchange.
