This standard applies to all survey work in watercourses: on the open sea and in coastal zones, in estuaries, rivers, canals, streams and lakes. A part of these waters include tidal river area and waterways. The scope of this survey covers the navigation and maintenance of waterways (traffic safety, excavation work, hydrology, building inspection, and new construction activities), and the coastal zone management (coastal and water protection, ecology, uses).
