This document contains specifications about bolts and screws with metric thread from M3 to M30 with different head shapes and with a shank diameter smaller than the minor diameter of the thread. Two styles of shank (with short and long thread) are specified for each bolt and screw type. In the case of an appropriate design of a bolted connection, bolts and screws according to this document can be placed as captive elements and can be locked against loss by means of the application of a suitable locking device.
