VG 96916-5:2013-08

This standard applies to electrical systems for military land vehicles including tactical vehicles; it also applies to cabins, trailers and gun carriages. For tactical components and subsystems in vehicles the tests according to 5.3 shall apply. The rated voltage of the electrical system is DC 24 V according to STANAG 2601 (battery nominal voltage 24 V). For design inherent deviations (DC 12 V) the relevant national and international standards are to be taken into account. Requirements exceeding those of this standard as well as an interface description are included in VG 96957-1 und VG 96957-2. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is not covered by the standards of the series VG 96916.
