This standard is applicable to the hoses of elastomers and thermoplastics listed in Table 1 and to hose assemblies made of such hoses supplied to the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) (Bw). It contains specifications for the age inspections and for the tests necessary during the working life to maintain the operational and functional safety. Besides the hoses and hose assemblies of elastomers and thermoplastics listed in Table 1, it is also applicable to hose assemblies if reference is made to them in the respective delivery specifications (e. g. technical specifications) or procurement documents (e. g. drawings). This standard is not applicable to - hose assemblies and flying devices, - hose assemblies of thermoplastics, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). For hose assemblies for fuelling and pipelines, VG 95924-1 applies.
