The document gives the range of application of in soil burried steel pipes. The document may be applied also for steel pipes in water. If there are no increased mechanical loads and no electro-chemical interferences the corrosion-chemical load is related to soil class I. An increased danger of corrosion depends on electro-chemical influence (development of elements) and exists in water/air - domain. For this is valid in DIN 929 part 3 in respect of assessment of corrosion danger and the required measurements of protection.
