This document specifies a routine method for the determination of loss in mass of soluble coffee using a vacuum oven. The determination of loss in mass (moisture content) can be used for powdered decaffeinated and non-decaffeinated coffe-extract in accordance with this standard. For the purposes of this standard coffee-extract means spray dried, agglomerated and freeze dried coffee extracts. This method is not suitable for liquid or pasty coffee-extracts.
