This standard applies for dimensions and designations of stud ends for fittings, valves and plug screws and the corresponding ports which are not part of DIN EN ISO 1179-1 to DIN EN ISO 1179-4. This part contains requirements for types with a) pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are not made on the threads according to DIN EN ISO 228-1 and b) Whitworth pipe threads according to DIN 3858.
