This standard applies for the configuration and construction of platforms at stationary accesses to process apparatus which are generally used for control and maintenance works on these apparatus. For enamelled, lined or coated apparatus and apparatus made from non-ferrous metal or plastics the application has to be checked. This standard applies for platform constructions whose calculations are based on a platform width of 1000 mm with the following working load: - surface load of 2 kN/m2; - concentrated load of 3 kN. For platforms on machines applies DIN EN ISO 14122-2.
