This standard shall apply to systems and equipment of the German Armed Forces. It provides an overview of the test methods for NEMP and lightning protection. Furthermore, it includes general requirements for performing tests for NEMP and lightning protection according to VG 96903. The threat levels for NEMP and lightning used as a basis for the test methods are defined in VG 95371-10 and explained in the supplements 1 to 3 to that standard.
