This generic standard applies to heavy load relays in combination with the detail standard for heavy load relays, in the following referred to as components. This generic standard includes the general requirements and provisions. It contains statements relating to unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, i.e. properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etc. The detail standard specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable for the respective components. If statements of the detail standard differ from those given in the generic standard, statements of the detail standard shall apply.
