This Standard specifies a method for the determination of three mono-caffeoylquinic acids 3-, 4- and 5-CQA, of three di-caffeoylquinic acids 3,4-, 3,5- and 4,5-diCQA, of three feruloylquinic acids (3-, 4- and 5-FQA) and of two chlorogenic acid lactones (3- und 4-CQL). Examples for structural formulae, designations and the common abbreviations for determinable analytes are shown in figure A.1 and table A.1. This method has been validated for roasted coffee and soluble coffee in a liquid or dried form. It is also suitable for green coffee.
