This generic specification applies in combination with the individual detail specification to equipment housings and accessories, in the following referred to as components. The generic specification lays down the properties and provisions applying which apply to all components. However, it only contains definite details on technical requirements and test conditions of a constant nature, i.e. properties and provisions which apply for all components as well as generic test procedures, questions of liability, etc. The detail specification specifies the technical requirements and tests applicable for the respective components. If requirements specified in the detail specification differ from those given in the generic specification, data given in the detail specification shall apply.
