VG 95447-8:2015-12

This interface standard applies to portable multi-purpose equipment housings, 19 in slide-in technique used by the German Armed Forces. It replaces the editions 1997 of VG 95446-8 to VG 95446-10, in which those housings had been described in great detail. In addition, it considers new requirements such as air transportation or electromagnetic compatibility. The standard specifies requirements and tests for standard housings with two lids. When specifying the test methods, the requirements of the NATO (STANAG 4370) applicable at the time of the publication of this standard have been taken into account. Since equipment housings often form an integral part of systems, a great deal of special models (e. g. with respect to electrical connectors or air conditioning) are used. However, these special models are based generally on the standard housings of the VG 95447 series.
