DIN 28017-5:2016-04

This standard determines the layout and the design of stairs at stationary accesses to process apparatus. These are generally used for checks and maintenance works on these apparatus. By enamelled, lined or coated apparatus as well as apparatus made from non-ferrous metals or plastics the applicability has to be checked. Base for railings at stairs according to this standards is DIN 28017-2. This document applies for stair constructions to which in the calculation the following traffic loads were laid to reason: For platforms, according to DIN 28017-1 and for steps, according to DIN EN ISO 14122-3. For stairs at machineries and constructions DIN EN ISO 14122-3 applies.
