This DIN SPEC in accordance with the PAS procedure was developed within a workshop set up on a temporary basis. The DIN SPEC was developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword. This DIN SPEC describes an IT-architecture and a process framework for the implementation and management of highly sensitive data in the context of data and information security. The DIN SPEC defines a method which is intended to be used to create a high-security environment for storage of highly sensitive data and to provide protection against unauthorized access and cyber attacks. The application of this standard can help to facilitate the obtainment of PCI certification.
