This Standard is applicable in combination with DIN EN 681-1, DIN EN 681-2 and DIN EN 681-3 for joints for pipe connections of sewers and drains as well as manholes and sanitary appliances and connections with elastomeric seals. The requirements of the document are only applicable, if the corresponding product-standard for pipes of sewers and drains as well as manholes and sanitary appliances and connections with elastomeric seals doesn't contain such requirements. I does not apply to joints for pipes for which functional test methods are published in European Standards for pipes and fittings.
