This standard is applicable to fastening clamps according to VG 85375-1 and VG 85375-2, hereinafter referred to as clamps. They are intended to fasten pipework assemblies to be fitted with head insulation. After the tubes have been installed, the insulation only needs to be fitted between the clamps. Dismantling the pipework assembly to insulate the clamp area is no longer required. It could be that vessel-specific shock requirements to the clamps according to this standard are made.
