This document specifies three methods for the determination of sulfide sulfur in waters and wastewaters with mass concentrations as of 0,04 mg/l. When applying the photometric procedure the sample has to be diluted with sulfide concentrations greater than 1,5 mg/l. Applying the electrochemical procedure much higher concentrations can be measured without dilution. By reducing the volume of the water sample, higher mass concentraions can be achieved with both detection methods. In case particle bound sulfides shall not be considered, filtration of the sample according to guidance given in Annex A (informative) has to be performed.
