This document specifies a photometric method for the determination of dissolved chromium (VI) applying manual or automated static or automated dynamic techniques. The choice of analytical technique applied and appropriate pre-treatment of the sample (e. g. matrix elimination) allows a direct determination of chromium (VI) less than/equal 0,02 µg/l in ground, potable, surface, eluates, boiler and clarified waste water, provided the matrix does not contain interfering reducing agents. Depending on the analytical technique applied sample dilution can be necessary.
