This document has been developed in response to the need of the Construction industry to handle multiple models, documents and structured data as one information delivery. In part 1 of this standard, a specification is given for a container supporting the storage of documents and models, including the ability to link otherwise disconnected data. This part 2 adds the ability to enrich the data further according to Linked Open Data software principles. This functionality is added to allow the extension of a container with user defined data and relations between data from open standards and national or organization-specific standards. The ability to enrich the data contributes significantly to the value. Through this functionality, users are enabled to require information deliveries to fit with internal standards and integrate with open standards. This part 2 of the standard adds functionality to the generic container format from part 1. It adds the ability to extend the container with data based on separate schema files or type libraries. This standard is suitable for industry sectors such as built environment enabling the exchange of multiple models and documents and user defined data and allowing the integration of data according to open standards and organization specific standards. Schema files and libraries are rdf/owl files and may be included in the container or externally available. The use-cases include the handover of 1. publishing bidding package, 2. project deliverables, 3. sharing of information as background or for development, and 4. publishing approved packages, 5. the validation of packages. Information in the container and any additional rdf/owl (semantic web) files or resources provided can form a directly queryable suite.
