This standard covers the planning and execution of centralised ventilation and air-conditioning installations (VAC installations) whose primary purpose is the air supply for humans, and where components (such as induction devices, reheaters, fire dampers, air terminals) are connected to a centralised VAC unit by means of piping. The standard specifies fundamental requirements to be met by all centralised VAC installations. Further user-specific requirements may apply; these, however, are not within the scope of this standard.
