This Standard specifies definitions of the terms concerning powder metallurgy. The powder metallurgy is the metallurgical part for manufacture of metal powder or manufacture of a product by forming and sintering process from the metal powder, and it does not matter whether non-metallic powder is added or not. The products include those manufactured by combination of metal and non-metallic powder.
