VDI 2871 Blatt 2:2016-12

Leadership has been identified as the critical factor for a sustainable implementation of lean production systems. Additional to the standard VDI 2871 Part 1, this standard describes methods for the leadership in the five principles 'continuous improvement culture', 'self-development and reflection', 'coaching', 'Gemba', and 'participation'. The presented 23 methods help to adapt leadership to the specific requirements of lean production systems. Based on a literature review and industry input, the standard describes a selection of methods and tools, which support leadership in the lean production system.
