This Standard specifies the ophthalmometers which indicate the radius of curvature, direction of principal meridian and corneal refraction power assuming the corneal front surface of human eye as a toroidal surface, by its reflected image, the radius of curvature of the corneal principal meridian and the direction of the corneal principal meridian are measured to obtain the corneal refractive power from the value of radius of curvature by calculation.
