This Standard specifies a method of preparing deposited metal pad and a method of sampling for chemical analysis of the deposited metal of covered electrodes, solid wire for gas-shielded metal arc welding, flux cored wire for gas-shielded and self-shielded arc welding, flux cored welding rod for TIG welding, and wire-flux combinations for submerged arc welding, used for mild steel, fine grain steel, high tensile strength steel, heat resisting steel, stainless steel, nickel and nickel-alloy and copper and copper-alloy.
