This Standard is applicable to the design an installation of Lightning Protefction Systems (LPS) for structures, or installations such as chimneys, towers, oil tanks, or the like. The following cases are outside the scope of this Standard: a) railway systems; b) electorical transmission, distribution and generating systems external to a structure (excluding those incidental to a structure); c) telecommunication systems external to a structure (excluding those incidental to a structure); d) vehicles, ships, aircraft, offshore installations.
