This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies general rules in the case where quantitative analysis is carried out by measuring the transmittance, absorbance or reflection within a range from near 200 nm to near 1100 nm of wavelength by using a spectrophotometer or a photoelectric photometer. This Standard does not apply to the methods using an atomic absorption photometer, a near-infrared spectrophotometer or an infrared spectrophotometer.
