JIS Z 3181:2005 (R2015)

This Standard applies to the welding consumables (arc welding electrodes and wires) for welding carbon steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel and nickel base alloys. It describes the test method for assessing conformance to requirements of positional capacity and root penetration set forth by the Japanese Industrial Standard of the tested welding consumables.
