This prestandard provides requirements for testing of metallic roofs as natural components of a lightning protection system if connecting points of the sheet metal elements do not ensure a permanent electrical connection. Such connections result of loose hooking-in or overlapping of the metallic roof elements. Also connections by pressing, folding, cramping, bordering are not considered to be permanentconductive, if metal sheets are coated in the area of contact.
