This document is a Technical Specification for hold-up devices which can be used as part of intrusion and hold-up alarm systems installed in buildings. It includes four security grades and four environmental classes. The purpose of a hold-up device is to allow a person to deliberately generate hold-up alarm signals or messages and a further necessary range of signals or messages to be used by the rest of the intrusion and hold-up alarm system. The interpretation sheet provides explanations for use of the Technical Specification.
