This part of IEC 61643 describes the principles for selection, operation, location and coordination of SPDs intended for use on Photovoltaic (PV) systems up to 1500 V d.c. . The electrical installation starts from a PV generator or a set of PV modules connected in series with their cables, provided by the PV generator manufacturer, up to their installation or t he utility supply point. For PV installation including batteries additional requirement should be necessary.
