JIS M 8720:2009 (R2014)

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies a method to provide a relative measure for evaluating the degree of size degradation of iron ores when reduced in a fixed bed at the temperature of 550 degrees Celsius and then tumbled in a tumble drum at room temperature, under conditions resembling those prevailing in the low-temperature reduction zone of a blast furnace.
