AS/NZS 1680.2.5:2018 sets out lighting recommendations for a variety of tasks carried out within hospitals and medical premises, particularly tasks associated with clinical observation, treatment and care. The recommendations also apply to related tasks, such as the visual examination of biological solutions and pathology specimens, in medical laboratories.
