Specifies requirements for the design, construction and performance of three-colour portable signal systems for use where temporary control of vehicular traffic is required, such as road or bridge works. Provides for the two main forms of control, viz. shuttle control and plant crossing control. Does not cover the use of these signal systems in specific road situations.
