Specifies requirements for the construction and performance of vented lead-acid batteries intended for use in stationary applications. It specifies minimum safety and performance requirements and provides test methods. It is based on and reproduced from IEC 896-1:1987, including Amendment 1:1988 and Amendment 2:1990, with the addition of Australian Appendix ZZ.
