Full Description

Specifies the requirements of alloy steel (chromium molybdenum) to raise its efficiency 4% above those specified in BS 5045.1, whilst still maintaining proven safety margins. Also, to maintain safety, the limits of the steels used in this Standard, and that are known to induce stress cracking, have been kept well within the limits given in the British, American and ISO Standards.
