Specifies criteria for the selection of extinguishers based on classification and rating, including requirements for location and distribution of extinguishants based on classification and rating, and the potential hazard classification. This Standard also includes a Section on the selection and location of fire blankets manufactured to the requirements of AS 3504. A selection chart for fire extinguishers and a guide to the selection of an extinguishant are included in the Appendices.
